PURPOSE:To provide a visual inspection device for board which can inspect the presence or absence and the positional deviation of electronic components mounted on a board efficiently and speedily. CONSTITUTION:A criterion circuit judges whether electronic components 5 are installed continuously or not according to the component shape and the installing direction of the electronic components 5 on a board 4 to be inspected which is stored in a storage circuit. Then, while a detection means 8 is moved for a section where the electronic components should be installed continuously for those which are judged to be installed continuously and the detection means are relatively moved for the section where the components should be installed individually for those which are judged to be installed individually, the presence or absence and positional deviation of the electronic component 5 which are mounted on the board 4 to be inspected are judged by a judging means based on the signal from the detection means 8. Namely, an optimum scanning method can be adopted for the continuously installed electronic components, thus achieving inspection speedily. |
