ELECTRIC DUST COLLECTOR FOR AIR CONDITIONER WITH INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA

PURPOSE: An electric dust collector for an air conditioner is provided to increase the electric charge efficiency by sufficiently accelerating free electrons without high voltage and to reduce the power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A charged coil(20) is rolled on the outer circumference of a ventilating road(10) flowing indoor air absorbed into an air conditioner as a ventilating fan is driven. A current feed unit(30) is contacted with the charged coil to feed high frequency currents. Therefore, a circular rotary magnetic field is formed in the ventilating road by the charged coil if the current feed unit feeds the high frequency currents to the coil. The magnetic field accelerates free electrons in the ventilating road. Therefore, the indoor air is purified as the dust particles are charged to plus or minus with the accelerated free electrons to be absorbed to an absorbing plate by colliding the free electrons with fine dust particles in indoor air.
