PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel-attaching type fishing rod having a construction capable of preventing a careless looseness in fixing a reel leg and the invasion of sand, etc. from outside, and also easy for recognizing the looseness if the reel becomes loose. SOLUTION: This reel attaching type fishing rod is constituted by providing a pair of hood parts having an opening for receiving the legs of the reel and positioned as opposing in front and rear, in which at least one hood part 116 in the one pair of hood parts is a movable type, constructing the movable hood part as movable in front and rear direction by the rotation of a nut part 118 and also providing an elastic means 126T installed between the inner surface of the nut part and a member 112 of the rod side, compressing an engaged part 118K at the inner surface of the nut part in the radius direction and engaging as releasable at a prescribed force.
