<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network printer specialized in power saving such that control of power saving mode/normal mode and acquisition of a status are enabled for each function block in the printer from a host computer since a network interface card plays the role of monitoring the power saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: The network printer comprises a host computer, a network connection means for connection with the printer body, an image processing control means of the printer, an operation display means, a transfer system control means, and an image fixing means, wherein the network connection means plays the role of monitoring in the printer and has an interface signal for controlling power saving mode/normal mode of the image processing control means, the operation display means, the transfer system control means, and the image fixing means and making it possible for a user utilizing the host computer through a network to control power saving mode/normal mode of each function block in the network printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
