<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of properly recording and/or reproducing information in an optical information recording medium by suppressing aberrations even while thinning. <P>SOLUTION: A mirror M is arranged between an objective lens OBJ and a collimator optical system COL.
