PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an organic electronic device using an ultrathin substrate by a simple method. SOLUTION: This organic electronic device is manufactured by using: a first process for forming a polymer film from a polymer solution on a first surface of the substrate by casting; a second process for reducing the thickness of the substrate by etching a second surface located on the back side of the first surface of the substrate; and a third process for forming the organic electronic device on the surface of the polymer film formed by casting.
