PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow preparation of a summary correctly reflecting a logic structure of an input document.SOLUTION: A rhetoric structure tree conversion section 24 generates a discourse structure tree based on a dependency structure among character string units in an input document in which a character string unit most important and each character string unit in the input document are set as the root node and a node respectively, and a separation between nodes corresponding to a separation between character string units having a modification relation between each other is connected by an edge. A dependency structure tree pruning section 25 obtains a subtree in which the total length and the total degree of importance of character string units each of which corresponds to each node of the subtree are not longer than upper limit of the length and the maximum respectively from among subtrees including the root node in the dependency tree structure on the basis of a length and a degree of importance of each character string unit corresponding to each node of the discourse structure based on the generated dependency structure, selects a character string unit corresponding to each node of the obtained subtree from the input document, and prepares a summary corresponding to the input document. |
