The present invention relates to a health functional food composition for preventing or treating life style related diseases or liver diseases comprising Fagopyrum tataricum L. as an active ingredient. More specifically, Fagopyrum tataricum L. of the present invention includes high contents of rutin components and has excellent anti-oxidant activities, thereby improving blood flow, lowering blood sugar values, cholesterol, and neutral fat, and inhibiting hepatotoxicity.
