PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector reinforcement structure installation method capable of installing a reinforcement material with a relatively simple method and ensuring that the reinforcement material can bear a force acting on an electric dust collector.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector reinforcement structure installation method is an installation method for an electric dust collector reinforcement structure provided on a column material 8 where a defective part has been generated and connected to the column material 8 at a position deviated from the defective part, comprises a step of connecting, before a reinforcement material of the electric dust collector reinforcement structure to the column material 8, a temporary reinforcement material 20 to be connected to the column material 8 to the column material 8 at a position outward of a position where the column material is connected to the reinforcement material; and a step of removing the temporary reinforcement material 20 from the column material 8 after the reinforcement material has been connected to the column material 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
