PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successfully weld such active metal as Ti or a Ti-alloy by a method of a gas shielded arc welding which is performed while ejecting a shield gas from a gas nozzle. SOLUTION: In the method of the gas-shielded arc welding, a gas nozzle 10 provided with a straight part 14 which makes the gas flow of the shield gas ejected from an orifice 18 a parallel flow in the axial direction and a throttle part 20 which is provided continuously with the straight part 14 and throttles the gas flow supplied from the straight part 14 towards the front end part is used as a gas nozzle. The welding is performed by using the gas nozzle 10 which satisfies the relation given by Eqs. (1) and (2) as follows, 1.5<=(DP/ DO)<=2.5...Eq. (1) and 1.0<=(L/DP)...Eq. (2), where DP stands for the inner diameter of the straight part 14, DO stands for the inner diameter of the gas exist at the front end of the throttle part 20, and L stands for the axial length of the throttle part 20. |
