Photo-crosslinkable layer, opt. applied onto a carrier, contg. an org. azide-cpd. as crosslinking agent and a polymer with gps. which react with azide gps. under the action of light, are characterised by a content of a polymer with gps. contg. an aromatic ring substd. by methyl(ene) gps; e.g. a PVA (co)polymer which is (partly) acetalised by a benzaldehyde which is methyl(ene)-substd. Used for prodn. of photographic images.
