PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorant composition advantageously used for forming the pigment recording layer of an optical information recording medium exhibiting high recording/reproduction characteristics by using a solvent which dissolves the pigment used and does not dissolve a polycarbonate material as a base material. SOLUTION: This composition contains a colorant and a fluorinated cycloalkane or alkene. It is desirable that the fluorinated cycloalkane used is 1,1,2,2,3,3,4-heptafluorocyclopentane, and it is desirable that the colorant used is a cyanine pigment, a metal complex of an azo dye, or an oxole pigment. |
