<p>1284039 Air screening a clean area CANADA MINISTER OF DEFENCE 23 Sept 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 45266/70 Heading F4V A method of providing a clean area comprises feeding air from a fan filter unit 16 to diffusers 11, 12 on opposite sides of an area 20 or to a single diffuser surrounding the area, whereby streams of air issue radially from the diffuser(s) both outwardly of the area and across the area in opposite directions to produce a current normal to and away from the area. Each diffuser 11, 12 includes a leather backing and a semi-cylindrical woven cloth diffusing surface. The diffuser may be triangular, toroidal or rectangular in shape. In another embodiment, a work-table is formed with a pair of diffuser channels, one on each side thereof. An extractor hood may be provided above the diffuser(s) and connected to the unit 16 to provide a circulatory air flow or to the atmosphere.</p> |
