Improved mixt. for mfr. of clay bricks - using residues from chlorine metallurgy

Mixt. for the mfr. of clay bricks is prepd. by mixing clay with chloride deposits from the non-ferrous metal industry in the form of an aq. soln. with pH 1-5 and a density of 1.03-1.1 g/cm3. The amt. of soln. added is 5-20% of the wt. of clay. The prepn. of the clay mix is simplified and the physico-chemical and mechanical props. of the mix. are improved. Environmental damage due to disposal of the residues is reduced. The bricks are 1.2-1.5 times stronger and can be used for the construction of high rise buildings, chimneys etc.
