<p>The advancing supports entrain the pipe which flexes (10, 11) according to the support movements. This flexing is achieved using end stops (4) which draw the pipe securements forward with it to the end of the advance step(s). The securements (31, 32) of the pipes on the adjoining as-yet unadvanced supports (B, B1), are also moved forward by an amt. proportional to the bend line. The pipe starts halfway along the advance step (2) so that securement on the unadvanced unit remains stationary and securement on the advancing unit moves back. These movements are assisted by a sloping guide so that the weight of the pipe restores its position each time. At least one securement of the pipe can only move backward, whilst the remainder can deviate sideways.</p> |
