PURPOSE:To obtain a blood corpuscle detecting apparatus contrived to shorten the stage moving time, by utilizing the speed reduction time of stage movement and moving an image of the blood corpuscle to a visual field. CONSTITUTION:Square waveform scanning is carried out moving a microscope stage 11. The speed of the stage 11 is reduced and the stage 11 is stopped when a white blood corpuscle is detected by a line sensor 31 in a scanning width W of a microscope visual field 15. At this time, in case of being situated the detected white blood corpuscle at the end part of the width W, the speed of the stage 11 is reduced and the stage 11 is stopped adding the stage movement of a transverse direction at the same time so as to enter an image of the white blood corpuscle into a visual field of an area sensor 40. Only an image of an input area 41 positioned basing on the movement quantity in a speed reduction period among the image pick up by the sensor 40 is inputted into a pattern recognition circuit. Scanning begins again returning the stage 11 to an original scanning progress line after the input is finished. The detection of the white blood corpuscle is carried out at high speed by carrying out thus scanning. |
