PURPOSE:To prvent a continuous forms from being damaged by a print head by providing and combining properly a platen, a continuous paper feeding means, a front inserter, a guide and a holder plate so that they perform specific actions. CONSTITUTION:A continuous forms Z is inserted from the back of a platen 3 along a guide member 7 and it is set by coupling feeding perforation punched at both edges of the paper Z with pins of a tractor 2. Next, the tractor 2 is driven by a drive mechanism and the continuous forms Z is transported in the direction of arrow X. Then, a ledger P is inserted into a front inserter 1 from above in the direction of arrow Y and it passes through between the continuous forms Z wrapped around the platen 3 and a print head 4 and is guided to between No.1 guide 5 and a holder plate 8 and No.2 guide 6 and set at the position of printing. Under such a condition wherein said continuous forms paper Z is set on the tractor 2, printing is made on the ledger P when the print head 4 is caused to operate. |
