The kitchen cupboard has a top (2) forming a work surface, and a hinged door (3) mounted below the work surface. A gap is formed between the underside of the work surface and the upper edge of the door to allow the door to be gripped for opening. The gap houses a sliding panel (8), which forms an extensible part of the work surface. The front edge (6) of the panel is formed to fit closely in the gap (5a) of the upper part (5) of the door frame. |
