<p>In the proposed radial piston machine the spherical piston (11), guided so that it slides in a cylinder bore (30) of a cylinder body (1) capable of rotating relative to a control journal (8) provided with inlet and outlet ducts, comprises a sphere (9), capable of rolling on a lifting cam (10) and a sleeve (3) built up from two elements (31, 32). The second element (31), which can be applied against the sphere (9), is made from a material with a lower coefficient of friction and is guided so that it slides in the cylinder bore (30). Owing to the design according to the invention, stiffness of the spherical piston (9) or even jamming under unfavourable operating conditions is reliably prevented; the machine according to the invention functions efficiently even under unfavourable operating conditions. <IMAGE></p> |
