<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binder for a printing ink which possesses excellent adhesion to moldings of various plastics, such as a polyester, a nylon, polyethylene, and polypropylene, oil resistance, boiling resistance, blocking resistance and other properties and an excellent capability of dispersing a pigment. SOLUTION: This binder for a printing ink comprises a polyurethane composed mainly of a polymeric polyol, a polyisocyanate compd., and chain extender, wherein the polymeric polyol is either one having a skeleton of a monoglyceride of a rosin prepd. by reacting a glycidyl ester of a rosin with a polybasic acid, or one having a skeleton of a monoglyceride of a rosin prepd. by reacting a glycidyl ester of a rosin with a polybasic acid and a polyhydric alcohol.</p> |
