PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wall-mounted indoor unit of an air conditioner which is formed out of a small-sized box body with a low height and operates to supply air normally. SOLUTION: An impeller 2 of a crossflow fan is provided in a box body 1, and a front casing 4, which forms a diffused air passage 5 with a rear casing 3, is disposed. A heat exchanger 7 is provided in the upstream side of the impeller 2. The opening ratio of an inlet side angleθH, which is formed by the axis of rotation of the impeller 2 and the line connecting the lowest row and the highest row of the heat exchanger 7, to an impeller side angleθSG, which is formed by the axis of rotation of the impeller 2 and the line connecting the upper edge of the front casing 4 and the upper edge of the rear casing 3, is formed at 0.8 or higher. Thereby, the correct suction area by the impeller 2 can be secured, and the air flow inside the box body 1 is stabilized. The normal air supply function by the small-sized wall-mounted indoor unit with a low height can be obtained, and also a good air conditioning function can be obtained.
