PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel that is able to prevent an insert buried in a pad part from being separated in time of a spread of this pad part. SOLUTION: A steering wheel body 1 is provided with a boss 8 locked to a steering shaft 30, a ring part core bar 5, a spoke part core bar 6A or the like, and two covering bodies 7a and 7b covering these core bars as well as a pad part 3 being installed in the nearly central upper part of a ring part 2, and integrally formed with these covering bodies 7a and 7b, respectively. An airbag device 13 is inserted from an opening part 23 and installed in space between the pad part 3 and the boss 8. In addition, two inserts 60 and 61 are attached to an auxiliary connecting part 24 (at the driver side), and also these inserts 60 and 61 are buried in the pad part 3. In this case, these inserts 60 and 61 are engaged tight by an engaged projection of the auxiliary connecting part 24, while they are surely locked by means of fusion so as not to separate from the auxiliary connecting part 24. |
