PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably control a fuel pressure in all operating states by setting the transfer characteristic of a controller, depending on an operating parameter at the time of controlling an internal combustion engine of a common rail system. SOLUTION: Fuel in a storage container 100 is pumped up by a preconveying pump 110 and conveyed through filters 105, 115. When pressure in a low pressure area of a fuel system reaches the specified pressure, a valve 120 is opened, and when the pressure in the low pressure area rises to the unallowable high value, a low pressure limiting valve 145 is opened. Fuel in the low pressure area is supplied to a high pressure area, that is, a fuel rail 130, by boosting a high pressure pump 125 and then supplied to an injector 131 from the fuel rail 130. At this time, pressure of the fuel rail 130 or the high pressure area is detected by a sensor 140, and according to the detected result, a control part 160 controls a coil 136 of a pressure control valve 135 to control valve opening of the valve 135 so as to control the pressure of the high pressure area to the appropriate value. |
