<p>PURPOSE:To make possible surely reporting traffic information to the driver of a running vehicle with a comparatively inexpensive system by reading and storing the code of a variable code plate, displaying stored traffic information in a display part and outputting it as voice. CONSTITUTION:The traffic information service system is constituted of a traffic information regional station 1, the variable code plate 20, a road machine 10 and an on-vehicle machine 30. Traffic information collected by the traffic information regional station 1 is transmitted to the road machine 10 and the road machine 10 converts received traffic information into a code and controls the code of the variable code plate 20 which is arrange on the road so as to make it coincide with an encoded signal. The vehicle running on the variable code plate 20 reads the code of the variable code plate 20 by the on-vehicle machine 30, stores traffice information, displays stored traffic information in the display part and outputs it as voice. Since traffic information is stored as necessary, it can be recognized again and traffic information is surely reported to the driver of the running vehicle.</p> |
