<p>A window blind assembly (10) having a storage rail assembly that includes a storage rail (14) defining a channel (22) for receiving and storing unnecessary or unused slats (12) of the blind assembly (10) to enable the ready customization of the blind assembly (10) to fit windows of different heights. The storage rail assembly also includes a pair of end caps (300) removably engageable with the ends of the storage rail (14) for retaining the slats (12) within the channel (22). Each end cap (300) includes a breakaway member (302) and an end piece (304) removably joined together by a coupling portion (306) desirably in the form of an area of reduced thickness of the end cap (300) so that the breakaway member (302) can be separated from the end piece (304) and positioned to prevent buckling of the slats (12) within the storage rail (14).</p> |
