PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular material for animal excretion-treating reduced in an amount of a pH indicator-containing ink composition included in the excretion-treating material by using pulp waste, rayon paper waste and powdery paper of the wastes as a raw material. SOLUTION: This granular material for excretion treating specifically comprises 90-98 pts.wt. of crushed nonwoven fabric having <=5 mm granular size, 2-10 pts.wt. of a paste and 0.007-0.03 pts.wt. of a pH indicator with 5-15 wt.% water content and is granulated to have >=2 mm particle size. The granular material is not especially disliked by animals as it can be produced without passing a drying process and smells of the pH indicator, binder and solvent included in a pH indicator-containing ink composition are weak by dilution.
