PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic rod capable of fitting tapered faces 18 and 26 with each other at a proper strength even if an inner rod 16 is taken out from an outer rod 14 with great force. SOLUTION: A handle 10 for a spoon net as the telescopic rod has the outer rod 14 and the inner rod 16 stored in the inside of the outer rod 14 so as to be freely slid. The tapered face 18 tapered to the tip is formed on the inner face of the tip part of the outer rod 14, and the tapered face 26 to be fitted on the tapered face 18 of the outer rod 14 is formed on the outer periphery of the rear part of the inner rod 16. An elastic member 32 to be pressurized and brought into contact with the tapered face 18 of the outer rid 14 is attached through a protective member 34 to the rear end part of the inner rod 16. As a result, when the inner rod 16 is taken out from the outer rod 14, the elastic member 32 is slid while being pressurized and keeping contact with the tapered face 18 to reduce the momentum for taking out the inner rod 16 by the frictional resistance.
