PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching a stator consisting of a plurality of split cores to a motor frame under such a state as respective split cores are coupled precisely. SOLUTION: A stator attaching tool 10 capable of attraction holding split cores 4 by magnetism is prepared, each split core 4 is fixed to its circular outer circumferential surface 11a and attraction held in place. A tubular stator 1 where respective split cores 4 are coupled precisely whitout causing misregistration can thereby be constituted by simple work. The stator 1 under that state is inserted, as it is, into the motor frame 3 and bonded to the inner circumferential surface thereof. Consequently, a stator 1 comprising split cores 4 coupled tubularly under a state free from misregistration can be attached easily to the inner circumferential surface 3a of the motor frame 3.
