PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller capable of setting a musical sound reproducing device so as to reproduce suitable content in response to a state around a user, a time zone, etc. , and a musical sound reproducing system including the remote controller and the musical sound reproducing device. SOLUTION: A remote control device 2 is provided with a fingerprint recognizing unit 11, and the fingerprint recognizing unit 11 is designed to register a fingerprint of each finger of a plurality of users. When the fingerprint is registered, the fingerprint is to be memorized into a category information memory 17 after setting a control command individually in every fingerprint in response to date and time when the fingerprint is recognized so as to transmit a control command indicating reproduction of a musical sound of one of groups which is to be different responding to the recognized finger, and so as to transmit one of control commands which is to be different responding to the date and time when the fingerprint is recognized to the musical sound reproducing device 3. Consequently, the control command can be transmitted to the musical sound reproducing device 3 in response to the date and time without performing a complicated operation, by making the remote control device 2 recognize the fingerprint of any one of fingers by the user.
