A mechanism for shrinking a light pen is provided to prevent the light pen for a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) from being ejected to the outside of a container even if an unintentional touch is applied. A barrel(20) includes inner threads at a lower part. A lighting head(30) includes a hollowed nose(31) and a cylindrical head(32). An elastic ejection assembly(40) is placed to the lower part of the barrel and the inner upper part of the lighting pen, and includes an extended pilot bar(41) having the first hook type edge, a pushing cylinder(42) placed in the nose, and having the first elastic member, a plurality of second edges, and a lower concaved space, and a hollowed cylindrical member(43) having outer threads(433), a plurality of first and second horizontal grooves. A plunger(50) includes a hollowed cylinder(51) and a pushing rod(52). The cylinder passes the barrel to make the inner threads tightly combined to the outer threads.
