<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit which is fixed so that the position of a flat lamp may be arranged always precisely against a diffusion plate, when the flat lamp is used as a fluorescent lamp of a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp holders 5, 5A are formed by a translucent elastic member, and by the lamp holders 5, 5A, at least one location in long axis direction and two locations in short axis direction of the cross-section of the flat lamp 4 are fixed, and positioning and fixing of the flat lamp 4 are carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
