PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber holding device which improves workability when holding an optical fiber.SOLUTION: An optical fiber holding device comprises holding parts a1 and a2 each including an openable/closable base part 11 and a lid part 14 and holding an optical fiber B by sandwiching the same between the base part 11 and the lid part 14 when they are closed. The holding parts a1 and a2 each include an elastic body, a drive unit for generating drive force, and a pressing part for generating pressing force on the basis of the drive force by the drive unit and pressing the lid part 14 through the elastic body with the pressing force. When the lid part 14 is pressed by the pressing part through the elastic body, the optical fiber B is sandwiched between the base part 11 and the lid part to be held on the basis of the pressing force transmitted through the elastic body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
