<p>Pipes are manufactured by continuously winding the transverse fibres helically onto a rotating mandre. The longitudinal fibres are cut into lengths exceeding the helical pitch and are applied simultaneously with the transverse fibres, pref. by laying them across a continuous band of transverse fibres as its feeds horizontally onth the underside of the mandrel. The fibres are continuously impregnated with liquid plastic, which is then hardened.</p> |
