[Also in Division G2] Novel 4-N-hexamethyleneimino benzenediazonium compounds of the general formula wherein X- is an anion, for example a chloride, bromide, fluoride, aromatic sulphonic acid or sulphuric acid anion, and R 1 and R 2 can be the same or different and are hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy, # - hydroxyalkoxy, # - alkoxyalkoxy, phenoxy, acetoxy, aralkoxy, methylamine, acylamino, atkylthio, or arylthio groups; and their double salts with zinc or cadmium salts, are prepared by boiling under reflux hexamethyleneimine and the correspondingly substituted p-chloro-nitrobenzene, followed by reduction of the nitro group and subsequent diazotization. |
