PURPOSE:To enable desired manual switching by a direct or remote operation without the need for electric power for switching and to keep a moving part free from undue stress by driving the optical element of a mechanical switch by a piezoelectric element and generating an electric power for the power source for the element by another piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION:The input light from an input optical fiber 17 is changed over and outputted to an optical fiber 20 or 27 according to the displacement of a piezoelectric element 21 in the direction of a stopper 24 or 25. The 2nd piezoelectric element 21 may be contained together with the element 11, a mirror 12 and an optical path change-over part including the input and output optical fibers in the same cabinet or may be remotely operated with a cord. The case in which the bimorph piezoelectric element 21 and the stoppers 24A, 25A are contained in the same cabinet and the bimorph piezoelectric element 21A and stoppers 24A, 25A are separated from the optical path change-over part and are remotely operated is shown. A prism, etc. may be used in place of the mirror 12. |
