The flow channels (34) in the expansion disc (32) of the expansion valve for liquids of gases extend over the total thickness of the discs. At least one cover disc (30) and one expansion disc are arranged alternately relative to one another with the flow channels separated from one another by the cover discs. The channels of each expansion disc are sealed from the interior (14) of the valve by an inner locking ring (50). The associated cover discs have on their inner circumference, slits (26) separated from one another by webs (60, 62). These slits connect all flow channels from the expansion discs.
