The electric motor has a reciprocating arrangment. The motor has an output shaft coupled to driving parts containing magnetisable bodies attracted by stationary switched magnets. Four switched magnets are located on each side of a crankshaft. The driving parts are grouped in pairs on the shaft in order to allow an oscillating motion to occur with the aid of connecting rods. The phase of switching of the magnets is controlled to produce a driving effect.
