PURPOSE:To prevent connecting holes for connecting a heat collecting plate and headers from being blocked with weld beads by a method wherein in the titled solar heat collector comprising the heat collecting plate having the headers connected to both sides thereof, each of the headers is formed of a hollow tubular member fusion- bonded with a guide and drilled with the connecting hole and the heat collecting plate is fusion-bonded to the guide. CONSTITUTION:The solar heat collector made of a thermosetting resin material is formed of the heat collecting plate 2 having a number of flat water passages arranged therethrough and the hollow tubular headers 1 connected to both sides of the heat collecting plate 2, respectively. To fabricate such solar heat collector, the guide 6 of a sectional configuration identical with that of the heat collecting plate 2 is fusion- bonded to a hollow tubular member 1'; after removing the weld beads 5 formed inside the fusion-bonded section, the connecting hole 4 is drilled in the member 1' from on the side of the guide 6 to thereby provide each of the headers; and the heat collecting plate 2 and the free end surface of the guide 6 are butt-welded to each other to thereby complets the fabication. Thus, according to the above method of fabrication, the connecting hole 4 is drilled after the hollow tubular member 1' and the guide 6 are bonded together so that the connecting hole 6 is not blocked with the weld beads 5. |
