PURPOSE:To prevent excessive lowering of the engine speed at the time of applying abrupt braking, by advancing the ignition timing when the engine speed is lower than the idling speed. CONSTITUTION:When abrupt braking is applied by a driver depressing the accelerator pedal, the engine speed is lowered abruptly to a level lower than the idling speed. In this state, the level of the output of a comparator 85 becomes high, so that a transistor 82 is turned ON while a transistor 62 is turned OFF. Resultantly, a trigger signal is supplied to resistances 16, 17 and a thyristor 13 is turned ON, so that the engine is ignited through discharge of a capacitor 12. Therefore, the ignition timing is advanced. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent excessive deceleration of the engine at the time of applying abrupt braking. |
