PURPOSE:To facilitate engine start by arranging a heat radiation part in the intake air passage of an engine and feeding heat into the heat receiving part of a heat pipe arranged inside a car room from a portable heat accumulator, thus heating the inhaled air when the engine is started. CONSTITUTION:In a car for use in a cold district, a bypass passage 3 for introducing air into an air cleaner 2 of an engine 1 from around an exhaust pipe on low-temperature starting is installed. A heat pipe 8 is equipped, at one edge, with a heat radiation part 9 arranged in the bypass passage 3 and equipped with a heat receiving part 10 arranged in the car interior, and inserted into the pipe 16 in a double cylindrical vessel 14 made of heat accumulating material. The periphery of the pipe 16 is filled with heat accumulating material (e.g., LiOH+ NaOH) 18, which is heated by an electrical heating wire 19. |
