The invention relates to pen and ruler implements for writing, measuring and drawing straight lines. The pen-ruler according to the invention consists of a graduated ruler-cap 1 of square cross-section having a hole 4 for the introduction of a pen 5 fitted with a square stopper 2 of the same cross-section as the ruler-cap 1; fixed to this stopper is a clip 3. The same method is applied to flat 20-cm and 30-cm long rulers into which several pens of different colours are introduced. Variant embodiments of the pen-ruler are very useful for school pupils, who easily lose the caps to their pens. The system also makes it easy to use and store pens. <IMAGE>
