PURPOSE:To improve fixability under a low pressure and preservable property at a high temp. by applying impact force to particles in gaseous flow to fix the particles consisting of a high-polymer material onto the surfaces of the particles consisting of a pressure fixable material, thereby forming the composite particles. CONSTITUTION:The particles I consisting of the pressure fixable material having 1-50mum volumetric average grain size and the particles II consisting of the high- polymer material having the volumetric average grain size of <=1/10 the grain size of the particles I and having >=40 deg.C glass transition temp. or m.p. are mixed with each other to form the composite particles stuck with the particles II on the surface of the particles I. Such composite particles are then dispersed in the gaseous flow and the impact force is applied thereto in 10-30m/sec gaseous flow to fix the particles II to the surface of the particles I. A resin which induces plastic deformation under the prescribed pressure is used as the pressure fixable material to be used for the particles I; waxes are preferable as said resin. The high-polymer materials to be used for the particles II include styrene polymers, PE, epoxy resins, fluoroplastics, etc.The welding of the toner particles to each other during high-temp. preservation is thereby prevented and the preservable property is improved. |
