PURPOSE:To form the marker giving an accurate mol.wt. indicator for the analysis of proteins with Native-PAGE by associating a kind of sub-units with each other. CONSTITUTION:This molecular weight marker having two or more kinds of mol.wts. is formed by associating a kind of sub-units with each other, e.g. by oxidizing the sulfohydryl groups of cysteine residues contained in a protein itself to form disulfide bonds between the sub-units, or by combining the sub- units with a crosslinking agent. Chloramphenicol acetyltransferase left in an oxidizing state free from a compound having a sulfohydryl group is a preferable method for forming the objective marker. |
