PURPOSE: To provide a high pressure sterilization device formed to be capable of sterilizing a product at an extremely high pressure and to have all safety measures expected for the device of the type. CONSTITUTION: This high pressure sterilization device is equipped with a sealed vessel 1 having a bottom wall 10 provided with an opening 12 connected to a means for supplying a pressure fluid, a cover 20 attached to the bottom wall 10 via a fixing means 2, and a slidable piston 30 laid in the vessel 1 in a sealed state and made slidable therein on the action of pressure applied to the active surface 31 thereof in the pressure fluid. Furthermore, the device has a high- presure treatment chamber 5 capable of receiving a product to be sterilized, as well as a fixed piston 40 adapted to penetrate the high-presure treatment chamber 5 when moving the slidable piston 30 so as to compress the product to be sterilized. |
