PURPOSE:To provide lightweight decorative wood having good appearance by reducing the use amt. of a foamable raw soln. CONSTITUTION:Rod-shaped decorative wood is obtained by applying a foam layer 4 having a surface skin layer 3 to the periphery of a core material 2 and has drawing patterns or grain patterns on the surface skin layer 3. At least one groove part 6 is provided to the outer surface of the core material 2 along the longitudinal direction thereof.
