PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recorder having a low retail price capable of preventing non-ejection or defective ejection of ink ejected from a record head and performing the stable recording by a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recorder comprises a carriage 4 having a record head 2 and an ink tank 3, carriage conveying means 6-9, an operation member 25 that is projected from a frame 5 in the carriage conveyance direction and is brought into contact with the ink tank at a position out of a recording region to eject an ink from the record head and a control means that generates an ink election pressure after the contact. |
