<p>The electric lock has a striker (2) fixed to an upright part of a door frame of the vehicle, and has a rotating latch (1) driven by an electric motor through a gear train (8,12,19). The drive mechanism co-operates with a blocking catch (7) which in particular angular positions of the rotating latch makes movement of the rotating latch irreversible. The drive mechanism has a toothed wheel (8) mounted on an axis (11) concentric with the axis of rotation of the latch. The wheel has a circular slot (9) that accepts a cylindrical pin (10). The pin is attached to the face of the rotating latch to couple its movement to a connecting lever (12). The connecting lever is coupled to the blocking catch (7), causing the catch to block (16) rotation of the toothed wheel in one sense.</p> |
