PURPOSE: To provide an image transfer method which is related to a method for transferring an image to a carrier from a master pattern using an intermediate carrier and transfers an image easily and at a low cost, with properties such as weatherability and scratch resistance. CONSTITUTION: The surface of a carrier which receives an imaging substance has a water-soluble lacquer layer or a thermoplastic or an elastic material layer. During transferring the imaging substance to the carrier, a layer after the transfer is cured by heating while the layer for the transfer of the imaging substance is softened. Film of polypropylene or foil placed on the carrier is treated by heat and under pressure to change the surface structure of a transfer substance for imaging. The obtained layer is dried at temperature of 90-140 deg.C and the imaging substance is transferred to the layer, which is, in turn, cured at about 160 deg.C. |
