PRODUCTION OF CARBON SUBSTRATE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a carbon substrate production process effective for suppressing the generation of substrate defects and facilitating the shortening of the substrate forming time and the simplification of the forming work. CONSTITUTION:This production process comprises a step to prepare powder of a resin capable of giving a hard carbon material by carbonization and form the powder in the form of a tablet, a step to preheat and dry the tablet and a step to form the preheated tablet by hot-pressing. The tablet has a shape satisfying the formula T/D=0.2 to 0.4 wherein T and D are thickness and diameter of the tablet, respectively.
