PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal noise due to the contact of an inflator with the inner periphery of the open port of a retainer and the leak of the gas jetted from the inflator by screwing the inflator with the retainer. CONSTITUTION:An inflator 48 is fixed with a retainer 42 by screwing a male screw 58 installed on the outer peripheral surface of the rear part of the inflator 48 onto the inner peripheral surface of an opened port 54. As for an air bag device 40, the inflator 48 is fixed exceedingly firmly for the retainer 42 by a screw, and the generation of abnormal noise due to the repetitive collision of the inflator 48 with the inner peripheral surface of an open port 52 is prevented. Further, since a flange is installed at the rear part of the inflator 48, and the flange makes contact with the edge part outer surface of the opened port 54, the gas leak from the opened port 54 is prevented exceedingly surely. |
